Temple Lifts deliver the first two of Hitachi’s machine-room-less elevators to be installed in the UK

The contract was awarded to Temple Lifts in 2019, for the installation of two of Hitachi’s Globally standardised machine-room-less elevators to be installed in the altered and extended new premium Mayfair Townhouse hotel. This new hotel forms part of L&R Hotels’ Iconic Luxury Hotels division and is located at 27-41 Half Moon Street, occupying the site of the former Hilton Hotel Green Park. This premium hotel is scheduled to open during the autumn of 2020, which is later than expected due to the Covid-19 pandemic and forecast to achieve a six-star rating once fully open. 

Although multiple thousands of Hitachi’s machine-room-less elevators are already in service across the Globe, Temple Lifts are supplying and installing the first of Hitachi’s energy-efficient MRL EN Standard compliant elevators into the UK. 

To assist L&R Hotels with their programme dates, Temple Lifts have been working on-site in isolation from other trades and under strict distancing guidelines to minimise any risks to our installation team.
